Eisenhower: Soldier and President

Eisenhower: Soldier and President - Stephen E. Ambrose Eisenhower's accomplishments became even more outstanding in my mind once I knew his relative lack of experience and understood the difficult coalition he was forced to thread together. I was also completely unaware of role as the President of Columbia University. The point of contention I found was Ambrose’s harsh treatment of Montgomery. I know Monty was a prima-donna pain the caboose, but he achieve victory in North Africa as well as playing a major role in D-Day and the European theatre.
